Burnley 0 Arsenal 1: Iwobi Features As Alexis Wins The Points For Gunners
Published: November 26, 2017Alexis Sanchez converted a stoppage time penalty to beat a dogged Burnley in a tight Premier League encounter on Sunday afternoon.
Jóhann Guðmundsson had the best chance of the opening 15 minutes, twisting past Nacho Monreal before rattling the woodwork with a ferocious drive from the edge of the box.
Arsenal went close at the other end three minutes later, Alexandre Lacazette setting up Ramsey but the Welshman's effort went horribly wide of the mark.
Nacho Monreal drove a long range strike just inches around the left hand corner before Robbie Brady tested Peter Cech on the 38th mark.
The second period saw Arsenal control much of the possession but were largely nullified by a resilient Burnley defence.
Alex Iwobi who had very little to muster for the Gunners was replaced after 67 minutes with Jack Wilshere coming on for the Nigerian international.
Arsenal would have the last laugh though as an Alexis Sanchez penalty grabbed all three points at the death to break the spirited Burnley hearts.
