Ex-Barca Coach Rijkaard Warns Nigeria : Messi Is The God Of Football, Worthy Of Praise
Published: December 04, 2017Former Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has reserved special praise for his former pupil, Argentina superstar Lionel Messi.
Three-time African champions Nigeria have been pitted against Argentina and Messi in Group D of the 2018 World Cup, and the retired Netherlands international has said that the number ten has no equal on the football pitch.
''Now I am a family man and I am happy to have seen another Barcelona game," Rijkaard told marca.com
"My son is eight and it was his dream to watch a game live at the Camp Nou.
"He (Messi) is a god for everyone and also you have to give considerable praise to Andres Iniesta. I continue to watch all the players from afar, they have had great careers."
Including the Argentinian youth teams, Messi has been directly involved in 6 goals ( 4 goals, 2 assists) Argentina has scored against the Nigerian teams in only five appearances.
