Victor Moses Underlines Importance To Chelsea, Top Player In Key Stat
Published: December 05, 2017Victor Moses continues to underline his importance to Premier League champions Chelsea, with the Nigeria Player of the Year rated the joint-top player in a key stat in Saturday's clash vs Newcastle United.
Only yesterday, Nigerian Federation boss Amaju Pinnick stated that Chelsea sometimes struggle without the Nigerian star in their starting line-up and this is not far from the truth.
According to the statisticians at Chelsea, Moses was Chelsea's top tackler against the Magpies, along with Cesc Fabregas and N’Golo Kante, who all clocked up three.
The Blues had 23 shots with the Super Eagle contributing to four, the second most by a Chelsea player and five less than Eden Hazard who had the most attempts with nine.
With 198 appearances under his belt, Moses is set to become the seventh Nigerian player in history to clock up 200 appearances in the English Premier League this month, barring injury.
The 26-year-old was Nigeria's most important player during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
