Published: January 02, 2018Nigerian striker Michael Obafemi is in the running for Southampton's Sure Goal of the Month for December 2017.
The 17-year-old's brilliant strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Youth Cup has been nominated for the award.
Obafemi was shortlisted for the award along with Matt Targett and Charlie Austin.
He celebrated the first hat-trick of his Saints career as Southampton thrashed Wolves 4-1 in the FA Youth Cup on December 14, 2017.
