Super Eagles Line Up Pre-World Cup Friendlies Against Serbia, Czech Republic
Published: January 17, 2018The Nigerian National Team have lined up two pre-World Cup friendlies against Serbia and Czech Republic before their trip to Russia for the mundial.
The Nigeria Football Federation made the announcement during a sponsorship agreement with Coca-Cola today in Lagos.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick confirmed that the Super Eagles will battle Serbia in London on March 27, four days after a friendly against Poland at the 42,000 capacity Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw.
Pinnick also reconfirmed that the Super Eagles will take on England at Wembley on June 2 before traveling to Austria for their final warmup match against Czech Republic on June 6.
Apart from those games being used to prepare the national team for the World Cup, the Nigeria Football Federation agreed to play England, Poland and Serbia because they ranked higher than Nigeria in the Fifa rankings.
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr will name his final 23-man roster for the World Cup after the friendly against the Three Lions.
