Nigerian Winger Compares Himself To APOTY Salah, Eyes Move To Man City
Published: January 24, 2018Young Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu has compared himself to the current African Footballer of the Year Mohamed Salah and is hoping to play for Manchester City in future.
The 20-year-old snubbed a move to CSKA Moscow beforeĀ joining Gent on a three-and-a-half-year deal last January,
''I want to play at a big club, win a lot of medals and trophies, I want to become the best player in Africa, I'm a bit of the same type of player as Mo Salah, who was voted the best African player ,'' said Kalu to Het Laatste Nieuws.
''I will always follow in his footsteps, my biggest dream, but I have to go to the Premier League first.
''Manchester City is my dream club: playing with Kevin De Bruyne, but first I want to win a trophy with AA Gent. "
Kalu has been directly involved in 19 goals (8 goals, 11 assists) in 40 appearances for Gent.
