Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd & Arsenal In Transfer Battle For Bayer Leverkusen Winger
Published: February 11, 2018Liverpool have joined the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, according to reports.
The Mirror claims The Reds have turned their transfer sights on the Jamaican having dropped their interest in France international Thomas Lemar.
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in signing Bailey who is having a great season with Bayer Leverkusen.
To date, the 20-year-old has been directly involved in 13 goals (8 goals and 5 assists) from 19 appearances in the Bundesliga.
He joined Bayer Leverkusen from Racing Genk for a €13.5 million fee in January 2017.
Sporting director of Bayer Leverkusen Jonas Boldt reckons that Bailey will command a similar transfer fee as Ousmane Dembele who joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund for £97million (around €110m) last summer.
