Top 5 Youngest Nigerians To Play In Bundesliga As Egbo Debuts For Borussia Mönchengladbach
The 20-year-old English-born Nigerian right-back Mandela Egbo finally made his first-team debut for Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach in their 1-0 win at Hannover on Saturday, February 24.

Prior to his maiden appearance, the former Crystal Palace wonderkid had been on the cusp of Mönchengladbach's first-team in the last one month, making the 18-man squad for games against Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Egbo was an 80th-minute substitute for Denis Zakaria and helped the Foals claim a 1-0 win.

Egbo was aged 20 years, 6 months and 7 days when he was handed his Bundesliga debut by manager Dieter Hecking, and he's not on the list of the top five youngest Nigerian players to feature in the German top-flight.

Wolfsburg's Victor Osimhen is the youngest Nigerian to play in the Bundesliga, aged 18 months, 4 months and 14 days, followed by Solomon Okoronkwo (18 years 5 months and 4 days) and ex- Eintracht Frankfurt striker Henry Isaac (18 years 9 months and 6 days ).

Austin Okocha (19 years 1 month and 12 days) and the late Peter Ogaba (19 years 7 months and 6 days) are the fourth and fifth youngest Nigerians to debut in the Bundesliga.
