World Cup Bound Striker To Train With Manchester United
Published: March 29, 2018Prolific Saudi Arabia international striker Mohammad Al-Sahlawi will train with Premier League giants Manchester United ahead of the World Cup.
This 31-year-old has scored 26 goals in 33 games for Saudi Arabia and is a key player in the national team.
Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA) of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al-Sheikh, announced the information via Twitter.
''It was agreed with Manchester United for Mohammed Al-Sahlawi to join for a training programme for three weeks, may God benefit him,'' he said.
United manager Jose Mourinho is not interested in buying the player who plays with Al-Nassr in his homeland.
The deal is part of a commercial agreement between Manchester United and the sports authorities in Saudi Arabia to promote sports in the country.
Saudi Arabia will face hosts Russia, Egypt and Uruguay in Group A of the 2018 World Cup.
