Official: Manchester United Announce Two Defenders Have Been Released
Published: April 03, 2018Through a statement on their official website, Premier League side Manchester United have announced the outgoing transfers of two promising teenagers.
Defenders Jake Barrett and Harry Spratt have been released in order to join Huddersfield Town.
This past weekend, Huddersfield Town confirmed the signing of Jake Barrett just before they faced Italian outfit U.S. Sassuolo in the Under-19 Champions Trophy in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The 18-year-old central defender played seven games for United U18s in the U18 Premier League this season and was registered for the UEFA Youth League.
Last season, Spratt made nine appearances in total for the Red Devils in the U18 Premier League, logging 268 minutes and was a non-playing substitute against Leicester City in the Premier League 2.
Spratt made his debut for the U18s while still a schoolboy against Sunderland in October 2015.
