Chelsea's Top Tackler Moses Praised For Defensive Showing Vs West Ham
Victor Moses was rated average as Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in the Premier League.

Cesar Azpilicueta opened the scoring for the hosts in the 36th minute after combining with Alvaro Morata, but Chelsea were denied three points after Javier Hernandez netted an equalizer three minutes after he came off the bench.

In their player ratings, Football London praised Moses for his defensive showing especially as he won an individual contest against Hammers number 26 Arthur Masuaku but criticized the Nigerian for being clumsy in attack.

Moses was awarded five out of ten marks, same as Thibaut Courtois, Marcos Alonso and Cesc Fabregas, and only the much-maligned Spaniard Alvaro Morata scored less than the trio.

''Had a couple of chances to fire at goal but didn't do enough with it. Some poor crosses again, although his defensive work was good up against Arthur Masuaku,'' Oliver Harbord wrote.

The statisticians at OPTA will agree with Moses's defensive rating against West Ham as he finished the game with a team-high four tackles and committed no fouls.
