Manchester City Running The Rule Over Younger Brother To Super Eagles Invitee Maja
Published: April 09, 2018Premier League side Manchester City have handed a trial to talented Nigerian teenager Emmanuel Maja.
Croydon have confirmed Manchester City have started running the rule over Maja after starring for their U18 team.
If the holding midfielder passes the assessment and is offered a deal, he will follow in the footsteps of his elder brother Josh Maja, who played for the youth team of Manchester City before switching to Sunderland in 2015.
Josh Maja was invited by the Nigerian Federation to train with the Super Eagles during their get-together in London in March 2017.
Should Emmanuel Maja sign for the Citizens, he is likely to play for their U23 team next season.
''Emmanuel is one of the most technically gifted individuals we have had and is very driven to achieve his dream,'' Croydon boss Harry Hudson told www.kinetic-foundation.org.uk.
''We have given him the chance to prove himself in men’s football and he has excelled.''
Nathanael Ogbeta, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Tom Dele-Bashiru, Felix Nmecha, Lukas Nmecha, Tosin Adarabioyo and Ashinme Kigbu are on the books of Manchester City.
