CHAN Eagles Star Anthony Okpotu Training At Danish Giants Brondby
Published: April 10, 2018Danish powerhouse Brondby have handed a trial to 2018 African Nations Championship star Anthony Okpotu.
Brondby have informed via their official website that the Nigeria international was named in the squad to face FC Copenhagen in the Reserve League on Tuesday, April 10.
In a 4-1-2-1-2 formation deployed by manager Martin Retov, Okpotu started in attack along with the 18-year-old striker Mileta Rajovic.
In addition to playing today for the reserve team, Okpotu will train with the first team of Brondby on Wednesday and Thursday and will be hoping to impress to earn a contract.
The Lobi Stars frontman played all of Nigeria's six matches at the African Nations Championship, scoring against Equatorial Guinea and Angola.
Last season, he was the top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League with 19 goals and this earned him a nomination for the Nigeria Football Federation Player of the Year award.
