Iwobi, Moses May Face Off Again In Pre-Season As Arsenal, Chelsea Confirm ICC Particpation
Published: April 11, 2018Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi may clash in the pre-season friendly tournament, the 2018 International Champions Cup, as organizers have named Chelsea and Arsenal as two of the participants for this summer's tournament.
In July 2017, Arsenal and Chelsea traded tackles in Beijing as part of their preparations for the new season, with the two Nigeria wingers named in the starting line-up.
The International Champions Cup which began in 2013 had Chelsea finish as runners up in the inaugural edition which Bayern Munich won. Manchester United were winners in 2014.
The English sides will be joined by two other Premier League sides in Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur while opposition from other European teams will come from German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, and Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Italian giants, AC Milan and Inter, will also feature in the tournament as well as Portuguese giants SL Benfica.
The tournament's official website, www.internationalchampionscup.com confirmed the names of participating clubs on Wednesday.
The details for this season's tournament will be disclosed in Miami, USA.
