Tottenham Whizkid Eligible For Nigeria Scores Two Brilliant Free-Kicks Vs Chelsea PL2
Published: April 13, 2018Chelsea U23s fell to a 2-1 defeat to Tottenham in their Premier League 2 clash at Stamford Bridge on Friday evening, with English-born attacker of Nigerian descent, Keanan Bennetts hitting two brilliant free-kicks for his side to complete the remarkable turnaround.
Defender Timothy Eyoma started alongside Bennetts for Spurs in the clash.
After a goalless first half, the visitors trailed to a Joshua Grant's header in the 66th minute mark after he got onto the end of a dipping corner kick to turn home the opener.
But the effervescent Bennetts quickly drew his side level almost immediately, clipping a delightful set piece over the wall and into the net to make it 1-1.
The 19-year old was not done though as he would soon net another breathtaking worldie 16 minutes from time, this time with a low swerve which found the inside far bottom corner as 10-man Tottenham pulled off the comeback.
Timothy Eyoma picked up a booking for a foul in the 16th minute and logged the full ninety minutes with Bennetts.
