Official: Nigeria Striker Pens New Deal, Earns Promotion At Grimsby Town
EFL League Two club Grimsby Town have informed via their official website that promising Nigerian striker Ayodeji Owoeye has been offered a new contract.

With effect from July 1, 2018, Owoeye will be one of the nine new scholarship intakes at the club.

The teenager was a central midfielder when he initially joined Grimsby Town before he was recently converted to a striker and has been described as a player with great pace and power as well as an eye for goal.

Owoye joined the Mariners from the private based company, Mass Elite FC, the same academy that produced Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Owen Otasowie.

Next season, the attacker will play for Grimsby Town's U18 team in the Youth Alliance League.

Chima Okorie, Iffy Onuora, Diallang Jaiyesimi and James Alabi have represented Grimsby Town's first team.
