Chelsea's Nigerian Defenders Set Record With Loan Club
Published: April 25, 2018Chelsea loanees Ola Aina and Fikayo Tomori were part of the Hull City squad that played out an entertaining 5-5 draw with Bristol City in the EFL Championship last weekend.
Super Eagles right-back Ola Aina was struggling to cope with the pace of the game and had to make way for Tomori one minute before half time.
The statisticians at Hull City have noted via the official website that the 5-5 scoreline now stands as the highest-scoring league draw in the history of the club.
In addition, this is the first time the Tigers have scored five goals in consecutive away matches following theĀ 5-0 thrashing of Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium on April 10.
Tomori also impressed in that fixture, notching up two assists for the goals scored by Harry Wilson and William Keane.
The England U21 star has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, mostly at right-back, while Aina has racked up 44 appearances, scoring once in an FA Cup clash against Blackburn Rovers in January.
The two defenders will be looking forward to Hull City's penultimate game of the season against Cardiff City this weekend and will bid farewell to the home fans at the end of the match.
