Chelsea Coach Conte On NFF Target : He'll Be An Important Player For The Future
Published: April 27, 2018At a press conference on Friday afternoon at Cobham, Chelsea coach Antonio Conte was asked about Tammy Abraham's time at Welsh outfit Swansea City.
The England U21 star will not suit up for Swansea City when they tackle his parent employer in a Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday evening due to the terms of the loan agreement between the two clubs.
Abraham was impressive in the first three months of his loan deal at the Swans which earned him a senior call-up to the England team but has struggled for form in the second half of the season.
''This is an important experience for Tammy. This season it is very important for his development,'' Conte told reporters
''He is playing, not with regularity, but he is playing and this is right for his experience and confidence and then we will see in the future.
''He is a Chelsea player and he will be an important player for the future. ''
Abraham, who has been approached by the Nigeria Football Federation to represent the Super Eagles, spent last season on loan at Bristol City.
