Teenage Nigerian Striker Makes Premier League Debut For Man City
German-born Nigerian striker Lukas Nmecha made his Premier League debut for champions in principle Manchester City as they registered a 4-1 road win over West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The England U19 star was a non-playing substitute for Premier League games against Leicester City (February 10) and Everton (March 31) before today's clash.

With the three points in the bag, manager Pep Guardiola handed the 19-year-old his debut in the 79th minute when he replaced Gabriel Jesus.

Lukas Nmecha was promoted to City's first team
following the injuries suffered by David Silva, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus, and their unsuccessful attempt to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City on deadline day in the January transfer window.

He has been on the books of the Etihad outfit since the age of nine and made his competitive debut against Leicester City in the League Cup in December 2017.

This season, Lukas Nmecha, who skippers Manchester City U23s when he's not with the first team, tallied 13 goals in 10 Premier League 2 matches, scored four goals in three games in the UEFA Youth League and netted once in the EFL Trophy.

The attacker penned a new three-year deal with The Citizens in January 2018.
