Alex Iwobi Stars For Arsenal In Last-Gasp Defeat To Manchester United
Published: April 29, 2018A very late Marouane Fellaini header handed Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Alex Iwobi's Arsenal in their Premier League game at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Iwobi was handed his 23rd league appearance for the Gunners, starring from the off.
The Red Devils who started the day on the front foot went in front after 16 minutes, thanks to Paul Pogba who was on hand to hit home a rebound after Alexis Sanchez had struck the post with his header.
But Arsenal were back on level terms soon after the intermission, former Manchester United midfielder, Henrikh Mkhitaryan creating space to send a terrific strike into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
And when it seemed both sides would have to settle for a share of spoils, Marouane Fellaini popped up with the winner in stoppage time, connecting with Ashley Young's cross to send a looping header over Ospina and in at the far post to send the home faithfuls into raptures as Arsene Wenger's final Old Trafford visit ended in defeat.
