Chelsea's Nigerian Defender Hails Brighton's Escape From Relegation
Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori was delighted that Brighton & Hove avoided relegation following their shock 1-0 win over Manchester United at the American Express Community Stadium on Friday evening.

The England U21 star, who is spending the entirety of this season on loan at Hull City, still has a soft spot for the Seagulls as he spent the second portion of the 2016-2017 season on loan at the club.

He helped Brighton gain promotion to the Premier League before returning to Chelsea, making nine appearances in the Championship .

Pascal Gross's 57th minute header was enough for Brighton to claim all three points and their place in the topflight next season as they have reached the magical 40 point mark with two games remaining.

Brighton & Hove tweeted with an accompanying photo captioned, ''We are staying up'': ''Job done πŸ‘''.

Tomori retweeted the post with a clapping hand sign : ''πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ''.

On the final day in the Championship, the right-back went the distance in Hull City's 1-1 draw at Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
