Average Transfer Value Of Top Euro Squads: Chelsea Sixth, Moses Valued At €39.8M
Published: May 07, 2018According to new study by CIES Football Observatory, Manchester City lead the way in the average transfer value of first team players in the top five leagues in Europe.
Pep Guardiola's Citizens are the top team in Europe and the Premier League ahead of Tottenham Hotspur (3rd), Liverpool (4th), Chelsea (6th), Manchester United (7th) and Arsenal (14th).
The Chelsea first-team players have an average estimated transfer value of 40.7 million euros, average age of the players under contract is 28 and average length of contract remaining is 2.30 seasons.
Nigerian Player of the Year Victor Moses is valued at €39.8 million, €0.9 million less than the average transfer value of the squad.
Hale End Academy product Alex Iwobi will cost €31.3 million if Arsenal decide to sell him this summer, according to the Neuchâtel based research group, and that fee is 6.5 million euros more than the average transfer value per player in the Gunners ranks.
With an average transfer value of a first team squad player being €15.6 million, Leicester City are ranked 21st and their Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is among the most valuable players at €70.2 million.
Foxes number eight Kelechi Iheanacho is rated at €19.3 million, more than the average transfer value per player.
