Official: Promising Nigerian Right-Back Retained By West Brom
Published: May 31, 2018Relegated Premier League club West Brom have published their retained and released lists following the conclusion of the 2017-2018 season.
Talented Nigerian right-back Yusuff Ojebode is one of the eighteen players at the Baggies Academy retained by the club ahead of the start of preseason preparations.
Born December 31, 2000, the versatile fullback made nine appearances for West Brom in the U18 Premier League over the course of last season, logging 310 minutes.
It is envisaged that he will be a key player for the Baggies U18s next season after making only two starts last term.
He assisted West Brom Under 15 squad win the Premier League U15 Floodlit Cup (South) two years ago before he was promoted to the U18 squad.
Former Nigeria internationals Peter Odemwingie and Ifeanyi Udeze, and Tianjin Teda's Brown Ideye have represented West Brom in the past; Ojebode will hope to follow in their footsteps and play for the first team.
