Super Eagles World Cup Striker Simy Turns Down Proposal Of N1.1B Yearly Wages From UAE
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has turned down the first proposal from an unnamed United Arab Emirates club who were interested in his services this summer.

The future of the Super Eagles number thirteen at the 2018 World Cup has been the subject of much speculation since the end of last season after Crotone lost their Italian topflight status.

The intermediary representing the UAE team was shocked that Simy rejected the US$3 million per season wages (N1.1 billion) offer from the club, arguing that the striker won't get that contract from any club in Europe.

Efforts are being made to convince the Super Eagles striker to accept the offer even if it means increasing the wages.

The 27-year-old has entered the final twelve months of his contract with Crotone, whom he joined in 2016 from Portuguese side Gil Vicente.

He played two games for the Super Eagles at the World Cup, coming off the bench in the closing minutes of their losses to Croatia and Argentina.
