Tottenham Coach Reveals The Real Reason Why Nigerian Midfielder Was Omitted From Tour Squad
Published: July 24, 2018Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Nigerian midfielder Josh Onomah is in his plans for the forthcoming season.
The England U21 star was omitted from Spurs traveling party to the United States on Sunday, which fueled speculation that he was set to be loaned out or sold before the close of the summer transfer window.
However, Pochettino has revealed that Onomah missed their American tour as a result of injury.
Speaking to reporters, Pochettino said : ''I think it’s different personal situations for different players. It’s clear the situation for players like Vincent.
"Josh is part of our plans, he’s injured and doing his recovery with Harry Winks, that’s why he’s not here."

Onomah, who spent last season on loan with Aston Villa, has racked up 32 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur since making his debut in January 2015.
Timothy Eyoma and Luke Amos have traveled with the first team to the United States and are in line to face Roma in San Diego on Wednesday.
