Official: Chelsea Announce Outgoing Transfer Of Midfielder

Chelsea have officially announced that Mario Pasalic has been loaned out to Serie A side Atalanta for the whole of the 2018-2019 campaign.

The 23-year-old was signed from Hajduk Split in 2014 and has yet to debut for the first team in a competitive match.

Since joining Chelsea, Pasalic has been farmed out on loan at Elche, Monaco, AC Milan and Spartak Moscow due to his lack of first team opportunities and to continue his development.

He was named in Croatia's provisional squads for the 2014 and 2018 World Cups in Brazil and Russia respectively.

The midfielder traveled with the Chelsea squad to Australia for the friendly against Perth Glory and was introduced in the second half.

Mainz-born Pasalic was eligible to represent Germany internationally before his official debut for Croatia in October 2017.
