Man City 1 Liverpool 2: Four Players Of Nigerian Descent Feature, No Debut For 17-Year-Old Ogbeta

City's Nigerian striker, Lukas Nmecha made his second successive pre-season appearance for his side, starring from the off in New Jersey while his compatriots, Tosin Adarabioyo and Tom Dele-Bashiru were utilised off the bench by manager, Josep Guardiola — the latter equally playing a part for the second consecutive game the Citizens have contested in their pre-season activities.

Twelve minutes in, Nmecha had a chance to put City into the lead after linking up well with Riyad Mahrez but Loris Karius made a very good save to deny him his first senior goal.
Adarabioyo came on for Oleksandr Zinchenko after 62 minutes while marquee summer signing, Mahrez was replaced by Dele-Bashiru in the 74th minute of the game.
In the second period of the game, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane scored for Liverpool while Leroy Sane got his side's only goal.
Up next for Manchester City in the ICC tournament is a clash with German Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich while Liverpool take on league foes, Manchester United.
