Chelsea Interested In Last-minute Swoop For Inter Milan Midfielder
Published: July 31, 2018Chelsea have reportedly readied a last minute bid for Internazionale's midfielder, Matias Vecino, BBC Sport has revealed.
With ten days left to the close of this summer's transfer window, The Blues boss, Maurizio Sarri has made the Uruguayan one of his top targets and is ready to pay up to £31m to get his man.
The Italian worked with the 26-year-old during his time as Empoli manager and is understood to be willing to reunite with the player.
Vecino who made five appearances for Uruguay at this summer's World Cup competition has played 31 games for Inter since joining the Nerazzurri from Fiorentina in 2017.
He started his professional career with hometown club, Central Español in 2010 before switching to Nacional but has played the majority of his career to date with Italian clubs.
