Young Nigerian Defender Hungry For More After Making Tottenham Debut
Published: August 02, 2018Young English-born Nigerian defender Timothy Eyoma is hoping he's given more first team opportunities after starring on his debut for Tottenham Hotspur in their International Champions Cup clash against AC Milan yesterday.
Eyoma was amongst the six Academy players that started against the Italian giants, the others being Luke Amos, Anthony Georgiou, George Marsh, Oliver Skipp and Kyle Walker-Peters.
''It was a great opportunity for us to show what we’re made of and we have to give a big thanks to the gaffer for giving us that opportunity. I think we did well,'' said Eyoma to Spurs TV.
''It was just a massive experience for all of us and it will give us the incentive to push on and hopefully get more chances like this.''
The 18-year-old Eyoma can be registered by Spurs on their Premier League roster for the 2018-2019 campaign as he is an U21 player.
He has featured for England's U15s, U16s, U17s and U18s teams and was part of the Young Lions squad that won the 2017 Fifa U17 World Cup in India.
