Nigerian Duo Get Average Ratings In Chelsea's Loss To Manchester City
Published: August 05, 2018Super Eagles winger Victor Moses and England U21 star of Nigerian descent Tammy Abraham both got average ratings in Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the 2018 Community Shield on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the new Premier League season, Moses and Abraham are behind in Maurizio Sarri's pecking order of wingers and strikers respectively as they came off the bench for the third successive game.
Manchester City picked up their first silverware of the season courtesy of two goals from Sergio Aguero.
Moses was rated 5 from a possible 10 by Football.London, with the following comments : ''Tried to link with the midfield, but not enough of a chance to make an impression. Maybe should have scored at the death.''
Abraham did not fare any better as he was rated five as well : ''A couple of nice touches and should have been put through by Moses late on. Almost latched on to a Barkley cross.''
Moses replaced Pedro Rodriguez on 79 minutes, ten minutes after Tammy Abraham came on for Alvaro Morata.
