Official: Charlton Athletic Announce Outgoing Transfer Of Physical Nigerian Striker
Published: August 08, 2018Charlton Athletic inform on their official website that promising Nigerian striker Josh Umerah has joined National League club Boreham Wood on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season.
The 20-year-old previously spent time on loan at Kilmarnock FC and most recently Wycombe Wanderers.
Umerah joined The Addicks at U11 level and made his debut for the first team against Hull City in January 2016.
Speaking on his temporary transfer, Umerah told Boreham Wood's official webpage : ''Things happened quite fast and Boreham Wood were the team who wanted me the most.
''So, it was a no brainer, they have promised me minutes and I am hopefully going to help the team.
''I am the type of striker who likes to hold up the ball and bring other people into play. I also like to receive the ball, turn and run at defenders, and just be a general nightmare.''

The strong and powerful Umerah has lifted both the Professional Development League 2 national title as an U18 and the PDL2 South title on two occasions with Charlton.
