Huddersfield Town Vs Chelsea : Nigerian Midfielder Is Top Tackler, Most Fouled Player
Published: August 12, 2018Nigerian midfielder Philip Billing was one of the shining lights for Huddersfield Town in their disappointing 3-0 loss to Chelsea in their Premier League opener on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers number eight was the top man in two statistical categories in the game staged at John Smith's Stadium.
According to stats provided by whoscored, Billing successfully took the ball away from Chelsea players six times over the course of ninety minutes, a game-high, and an honour he shares with teammate Aaron Mooy.
The 22-year-old was the joint most fouled player, with two fouls won, along with Aaron Mooy, Jonathan Hogg, álvaro Morata and Willian.
In other stats, Billing played two shots, made two interceptions, one clearance with one blocked shot and had an 88.9 percent passing accuracy.
He was the best Huddersfield Town player on parade of the 13 players that took to the pitch, with a rating of 7.19.
Billing has played 65 games in total for Huddersfield Town, with 17 of those matches in the English Premier League.
