Super Eagles Goalkeeper In Transfer Talks With Bahir Dar City FC
Published: August 16, 2018Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Ethiopian club Bahir Dar City FC are working on a deal to sign Nigeria international goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye in the summer transfer window.
Coach of Bahir Dar City FC, Paulos Getachew, has sought approval from the leadership of the club to sign the goalkeeper from Plateau United but there is a stumbling block.
Getachew wants to check Ajiboye in a few pre-season games before he is offered a contract but the Super Eagles goalkeeper has disagreed, saying he should be offered a straight deal because he is an international player.
Manager Paulos Getachew had to call time on his career with the Ethiopian national team after the Super Eagles top scorer in history, the late Rashidi Yekini, broke his leg many years ago.
The 28-year-old Ajiboye was backup goalie to Ikechukwu Ezenwa at the 2018 African Nations Championship and was one of the four goalkeepers named to the country's provisional roster for the World Cup.
On his curriculum vitate, he has played for Prime FC, Wikki Tourists, Pontevedra CF, Shooting Stars, Nasarawa United F.C and Warri Wolves.
