Ex-Super Eagles Star Named In Chelsea Traveling Party For Europa League Match Vs PAOK
Published: September 19, 2018Victor Moses has arrived in Thessaloniki, Greece with the Chelsea squad for Thursday's Europa League match against PAOK at the Stadio Toumbas.
Chelsea have confirmed on their official website that the former Nigeria international and twenty other players touched down in Thessaloniki on Wednesday afternoon.
Moses will compete with fellow wingers Willian and Pedro for one of the starting shirts against the Greek opponents, and the good news for him is Eden Hazard was not in the traveling party, which will improve his chances of making the match day squad as manager Maurizio Sarri prefers to set up his team with two wingers in the starting XI and one on the bench.
The 27-year-old was one of Chelsea's main men when they last participated in the Europa League back in the 2012-2013 season, scoring 4 goals in consecutive matches which helped the London team qualify for the final.
It would be Moses's fifteenth appearance for the Blues in Europe if he gets to feature against Chuba Akpom and his teammates.
Chelsea will also lock horns with BATE Borisov (Belarus) and MOL Vidi (Hungary) in Group L of the Europa League.
