Dual-Eligible Striker Solanke Named To Liverpool Travel Roster For Trip To Napoli
Published: October 02, 2018England U21 star of Nigerian parentage, Dominic Solanke, has been named to Liverpool's travel roster for their Champions League meeting with Napoli at Stadio San Paolo on Wednesday evening, starting from 2000 hours.
Solanke was among the 23 players that departed Liverpool John Lennon Airport at midday on Tuesday.
From the 23-player roster announced today, manager Jurgen Klopp must choose 18 players that will make the match day squad at the end of training in Italy.
Solanke will be looking to make his fifth Champions League appearance, having played against NK Maribor, Manchester City and AS Roma last season and against NK Maribor in October 2014 while he was on the books of Chelsea.
The 21-year-old was also in action for the Reds against TSG Hoffenheim in the Champions League playoff round in August 2017.
Liverpool beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in their opening fixture in Group C of the Champions League after Roberto Firmino came off the bench to score in second half stoppage time.
