Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Crystal Palace Watch Henry In Champions League Tie Vs Porto
Published: October 04, 2018Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal were among the English Premier League clubs that sent scouts to watch the Champions League meeting between Porto and Galatasaray at the Estádio Do Dragão on Wednesday evening, according to reports.
A Bola has confirmed via its print edition that at least six Premier League teams witnessed the game, with Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, who were previously linked with Cape Verde star Garry Rodrigues, also in attendance apart from the three teams earlier mentioned.
Wearing the number 21 jersey, Henry Onyekuru played the full match, operating on the right side of attack but it was not one of his best performances since he joined Galatasaray on loan from Everton.
Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Arsenal were credited with an interest in the winger before Everton won the race for his signature in June 2017.
For the second successive season, the Nigeria national-teamer has been loaned out by the Toffees as he is not yet eligible for a British work permit.
Henry has scored two goals for Galatasaray this term but has not found the net in his last six games in all competitions.
The 21-year-old's contract with Everton will expire on June 30, 2022.
