'Loss In Uyo Still Fresh In Our Minds' - Rohr Eyes Sweet Revenge Against South Africa
Published: November 17, 2018Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr says his side can't wait to go to the battle ground with South Africa in the matchday5 of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
Bafana Bafana are the only African side to have inflicted defeat on the Super Eagles of Nigeria since Rohr took over the mantle in 2016.
"We are have been waiting for this match for a long time. The loss in Uyo is still fresh in our minds South Africa are under pressure because if they don't win, they might not qualify for the Nations Cup," Rohr said at a press conference attended by allnigeriasoccer.com.
"Their last game away to Libya. Libya have a good team. The group is a tough one. Even if we defeated Libya twice, it was very difficult."
The former Niger Republic boss expressed his desire to mastermind his wards to become the first team to score against Bafana Bafana at their fortress in the qualifiers.
"South Africa are yet to concede a goal in the qualifying series. We will like to be the first team to score against them.
