Photo Confirmation : Chelsea Attacking Midfielder Signs New Contract

Ivorian-born attacking midfielder Thierno Ballo has been rewarded with a new deal by Premier League side Chelsea shortly after celebrating his seventeenth birthday.

The player's agency has confirmed on Instagram that Ballo has inked his first professional contract with The Blues, a year after his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Viktoria Köln in Germany.

Ballo was among the youngsters that penned a scholarship deal with Chelsea in July 2018, along with Nigerian pair Faustino Anjorin and Jordan Aina.

The talented teenager is an Austria U19 international and remains eligible to suit up for the national teams of Germany, Ivory Coast and Guinea.

He started his career with SV Chemie Linz and had stops at LASK Linz and Bayer Leverkusen before joining Chelsea.

This season, Ballo has netted five goals from 10 appearances in the U18 Premier League, logging 793 minutes.
