Official : Promising Goalkeeper Returns To Manchester United

Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Castro Pereira has returned to Old Trafford after the termination of his loan deal with Vitória de Setúbal, informs the Portuguese club on their official webpage.

The initial agreement between both clubs would have kept the glovesman in Portugal until the end of the 2018-2019 season but he has been recalled by the Red Devils due to insufficient playing time.

Pereira started only nine matches in the Primeira Liga, posting two shutouts while conceding 12 goals.

He joined Manchester United in July 2012 following a successful trial with the academy and has recorded three appearances for the first team to date.

Since his arrival at United, he has been farmed out on loan to Rochdale and Belenenses, apart from his latest adventure in Portugal.

Born in Boudevilliers, Switzerland 22 years ago, he has represented Switzerland and Portugal youth teams.
