Official : Former Enyimba Star Obiozor Inks 24-Month Deal With Stade Gabesien
Published: January 16, 2019North African clubs have continued their love story with Nigerian Professional Football League stars in the winter transfer market, with Super Eagles striker Christian Obiozor agreeing terms with Tunisian top flight club Stade Gabesien.
Last season's top scorer Junior Lokosa has penned a deal with African champions Esperance, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi formerly of Akwa United is now a player of Entente Sportive Sètifienne while Gabriel Okechukwu switched clubs in Morocco.
Mohamed Ali Bouchmila, General Secretary of Stade Gabesien has confirmed that Obiozor has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the club after convincing the technical staff of his qualities.
The 24-year-old was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2014 African Nations Championship in South Africa, helping the national team finish third in the competition.
A proposed move to Orlando Pirates fell through at the last minute despite the South African giants announcing his signing via their official website.
The 1.9 meters tall Obiozor previously represented Enugu Rangers , Kano Pillars and Enyimba International.
