Official : Swansea City Loan Out Youngest Nigerian To Feature In The English Premier League
Published: August 16, 2019Swansea City winger Joel Asoro completed his season-long loan switch to Eredivisie side Groningen on Thursday.
In a statement via their official website, Swansea City confirmed the player's departure after reaching an agreement with the Dutch top-flight club.
Though he has featured for Sweden youth teams, the young attack-minded player is still eligible to feature for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the future as he has not played competitively for the senior national team.
He needs to improve his game in the Dutch League this season if he must justify the faith and believe many fans had in him during his time with Sunderland.

Asoro, 20, joined the Swans last season but didn't really make his presence count as he only featured in 17 first-team matches throughout the campaign.
Though he has featured for Sweden youth teams, the young attack-minded player is still eligible to feature for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the future as he has not played competitively for the senior national team.
Asoro became the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in the English Premier League when he appeared in Sunderland's 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough three years ago.
He was 17 years and 117 days old when he achieved the great feat.
He needs to improve his game in the Dutch League this season if he must justify the faith and believe many fans had in him during his time with Sunderland.
