Sunderland, Doncaster Rovers, Rotherham United Battling To Sign Adelakun
Published: January 03, 2020Nigerian winger Habeeb Adelakun is attracting interest from Football League clubs in the January transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Sunderland, Rotherham and Doncaster Rovers have made enquiries over the availability of the former Crystal Palace and West Ham youth-teamer.
Adelakun has seen his first team opportunities limited at Championship club Bristol City, failing to make a single appearance for the Robins this season and played only five games over the course of the 2018-2019 campaign.
The 23-year-old is eager to make a loan move this month to enable him play on a regular basis.
Prior to his move to Bristol City in the summer of 2018, he was on the books of Scunthorpe United for six years and helped them reach the League One playoffs in his final season with the club.
In 119 previous outings in the League One, Adelankun contributed to 33 goals (14 goals, 19 assists).
His contract with Bristol City runs out at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
