Brighton & Hove Loanee Balogun Makes Wigan Athletic Debut As A Substitute
Brighton & Hove loanee Leon Balogun made his debut for Wigan Athletic as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Middlesbrough in a Championship clash at the DW Stadium on Tuesday night, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Manager Paul Cook made the first change of the game when he introduced the Super Eagles center back in the 64th minute as a replacement for Gelhardt.

Cook had to tinker with his formation after Chey Dunkley received a second yellow card and was dismissed in the 62nd minute.

Four minutes after Balogun entered the pitch with the number 37 jersey at the back of his jersey, Middlesbrough took the lead through Lewis Wing but the home team got a share of the spoils courtesy of an own goal from Moukoudi with 14 minutes left.

A deadline day signing from the Seagulls, the former Mainz man was a non-playing substitute against Preston North End last weekend and was not eligible to face Leeds United a day after his move to Wigan.

Balogun managed only two appearances for Brighton & Hove before heading to the Latics on loan for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.
