Super Eagles Fullback Unable To Complete Torino's Training Session On Tuesday
Published: February 18, 2020 Ola Aina was unable to complete Torino's training session held at the Filadelfia on Tuesday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Only yesterday, the Nigeria international made his 50th appearance in the Italian Serie A, playing the last five minutes in a 1-0 loss to AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
In view of their next league match against Parma this coming Sunday, a double session was held today - defatiguing session for the ones who played yesterday, while the others
had a training match against some players of the Primavera - informs Torino's official website.
Aina ended the training session prematurely due to a soreness in his abdomen.
With the exception of the matchday 21 tie against Atalanta, the Chelsea Academy product has been called up for all the matches contested by the Maroons in the Serie A this season.
Aina has been handed a golden opportunity to make the right back spot his own by Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr after one of his rivals, Abdullahi Shehu opted to remain at Turkish second-tier club this season.
Apart from the friendly against Brazil he missed as a result of injury, the former England U19 skipper has started all the matches played by the national team since the loss to Algeria in the semifinal of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
