Manchester United Name Super Eagles Striker As One Of The Three Key Players In Club Brugge Team
Published: February 20, 2020Previewing Thursday evening's Europa League round of 32 clash against Club Brugge, the official website of Manchester United identified Emmanuel Dennis as one of the three key players in the Club Brugge team and noted that the Nigerian has been linked with several top clubs in Europe.
The Super Eagles striker is in line to feature against the Red Devils and from the very beginning as he has been included in the provisional squad list by manager Philippe Clement.
Dennis has cemented himself as a regular for Club Brugge in Europe this season, starting nine of their ten matches in the Champions League, including the qualifying rounds.
On ones to watch, Manchester United wrote : "Emmanuel Dennis has scored eight goals in all competitions this season for Brugge, including both in their draw with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"The forward made his return to the bench at the weekend and has been linked with a plethora of top European sides in recent months.
"At the other end of the pitch, former Liverpool and Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will be between the sticks for the hosts. The 31-year-old last played against United in October 2017’s goalless draw with the Merseyside club.
"Also in the Brugge side is defender Eduard Sobol, who featured for Zorya Luhansk when United beat the Ukrainians 1-0 en route to winning the Europa League in 2016/17."
Dennis, 22, has faced Manchester United before in the Europa League, during the 2016-2017 season when his club Zorya Luhansk were beaten 2-0 at Old Trafford in a group game.
