New Super Eagles Invitee Is Third Fastest Player In German Bundesliga History
Published: March 10, 2020Cologne right-back Kingsley Ehizibue will bring more quality to the Super Eagles team should he make his international debut against Sierra Leone on March 27, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The 24-year-old has all the attributes of a modern fullback as he is pacy and offers an attacking outlet, shown by the nine goals he was involved in in his final season with PEC Zwolle.
Ehizibue is currently ranked the third fastest player in the history of the German Bundesliga behind Borussia Dortmund's Achraf Hakimi (36.52 km) and Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby (35.95 km / h).
According to OPTA Sports, the Dutch-Nigerian recorded a speed of 35.85 km/h on matchday seven against Schalke - the fastest in the Bundesliga since records began before his record was broken by Hakimi.
One of the first names on Cologne's teamsheet, Ehizibue has been involved in 22 out of a possible 24 matches in this season's Bundesliga, of which 21 were starts, and missed the games against Hertha BSC and Eintracht Frankfurt due to suspension.
He is battling Ola Aina, Abdullahi Shehu and Chidozie Awaziem for a starting berth against the Leone Stars.
