Bursaspor's Shehu Achieves Scoring Feat For The First Time Since Moving To Europe
Bursaspor's Nigeria national-teamer Abdullahi Shehu achieved a scoring feat for the first time since his move to Europe as his side defeated Balikesirspor 3-1 in a Turkish First Lig match on Tuesday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

In what was his first game after serving a one-game ban, the Super Eagles defender registered his name on the scoresheet on the hour mark to give Bursaspor a 3-0 lead.

This is the first time in his career since moving to Europe that Shehu has managed to score in back-to back matches for his team, having found the net against Umraniyespor on matchday 25.

With four goals already this season, the former Kano Pillars star is having his best season in terms of goalscoring for a European club, having surpassed the two he scored during the 2016-2017 season at Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus.

One reason behind Shehu's good goalscoring form in recent matches - with 3 goals in his last five league games - is that he is playing in his original position as a central midfielder.

As a result of the form of Ola Aina and the versatile Chidozie Awaziem, Shehu is no longer a guaranteed starter for the Super Eagles, making only one appearance in their last ten games.
