Of the eleven most valuable players of Nigerian descent regardless of their positions on the pitch, as many as six are cap-tied to European nations, including three Chelsea stars, a Champions League winner, a two-time PFA Young Player of the Year and a 2018 World Cup star.
At eighty million euros, Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Dele Alli is the most valuable player of Nigerian descent on the planet.
Now 23, the Three Lions star was named PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons.
In second place is arguably one of the best left-backs to grace the game in David Alaba, who is valued at 65 million euros.
A Champions League winner with Bayern Munich in 2013, Alaba turns out for Austria's national team.
€50m-rated Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is the third most valuable player. The Nigeria Football Federation were on his case before he became cap-tied to England last year.
Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi is the most expensive Nigerian-born player but is only fourth overall with a market value of forty five million euros.
Everton playmaker Alex Iwobi (€32m), Lille striker Victor Osimhen (€30m) and Villarreal super kid Samuel Chukwueze (€30m) are next on the list of most valuable players of Nigerian descent.
In eighth position is Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley at €27m. He is an important member of the Three Lions and represented his country of birth at the 2014 World Cup.
Widely regarded as one of the best young players at the 2018 World Cup, Switzerland international Manuel Akanji cracks the list at number nine. The Borussia Dortmund center back is valued at €25m.
Versatile Arsenal fullback Bukayo Saka ranks tenth with his price tag standing at €22m, two more than Chelsea's one-cap England international Fikayo Tomori.
