Super Eagles Now Valued At N79.31 Billion Due To Impact Of Coronavirus Crisis
Published: April 10, 2020The value of the Super Eagles squad has been downgraded in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The latest market value update by Transfermarkt shows that the three-time African champions are now worth €191.1 million (approximately N79.31 billion in Nigerian currency).
With the exception of goalkeepers Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Maduka Okoye, all the players in the Super Eagles squad saw their market values decrease, with Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi losing an incredible nine million euros.
The three goalkeepers called up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone are worth 900,000 euros combined, which is €79.1 million less than the most expensive goalkeeper in the world, Atlético Madrid's Jan Oblak.
The squad value of the Super Eagles defenders is €26.95m with Torino fullback Ola Aina the most valuable at eight million euros.
The players classed as midfielders are valued at €40.85m while the collective value of the strikers in the squad is €122.40m.
