'I'm Not Thinking About Making More Money' - Brown Ideye Comments On Aris Future
Published: April 11, 2020Nigeria international Brown Ideye has insisted that the financial part will not play a role before he decides whether or not to extend his contract with Greek Super League side Aris Thessaloniki.
Having spent seven months without a club, the former Olympiakos striker returned to Greece to join Aris in July 2019, signing a deal until the end of the 2019-2020 campaign .
With Ideye's contract set to run out in the coming weeks, there have been speculations over his future and the Nigerian is set to hold talks with the Aris President before reaching a decision on his next move.
In quotes carried by Gazzetta Greece, Ideye explained : "I'm not thinking about making more money. I had better proposals and I turned them down to come to Aris. I am interested in the environment, to be happy me, my family.
"Aris is a team that every player wants to play and I am happy to be a member. Everything is wonderful here.
"It will be up to the president to decide whether or not to stay. If I stay, I will be happy, because I like a lot of things here. "
A 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, Ideye has been directly involved in 10 goals (9 goals, 1 assist) in 26 games across all competitions since transferring to Aris.
